Apartment house with shops at Ģertrūdes iela 30 was built in 1909 to the designs of architect Jānis Alksnis. Symmetrical composition of the façade conforms to the symmetrical plan of the building.  Soft lines and finely loosened ornamental reliefs are dominant in the architecture of the façade.
