Apartment building with shops at Ģertrūdes iela 34 was built in 1911 to the designs of Jānis Alksnis. Symmetrical composition of the façade conforms to the symmetrical plan of the building. Straight lines are dominant in the architecture of the façade. Modest classical ornamental reliefs are precisely included in the structure of artistic composition.
